What it’s all about?
If you’re looking for that important phone number or a website link to a local business in East Grinstead, Weald Info has you covered.
This is a local directory, but with added local knowledge. Nicholas Castiglione is a lifelong local resident with a passion for supporting the local community. We’re not a cheesy advertising directory but a local resource.
If you’re struggling to remember the name of a pharmacy or a pizza place, our aim is to ensure they’ll be listed here.
The card that comes through your door…. And the launch of a new site:
Weald info.co.uk is a website which was conceived in 2021 to support the WealdInfo card that you may have received through your door. The card is produced for East Grinstead at present and to start with has concentrated on food and drink. The first card produced this year has promotions for food and drink on one side, and useful local telephone numbers on the back, along with some general adverts from other local businesses.
We hope that when you receive the card through the door, you’ll keep it in a safe place. It’ll mean that you have access to all the useful info on there, and you’ll save yourself a lot of time not having to go to the internet to find individual things.
However, just in case you lose the card, we’ve also created this website. Everything on the card is here, and much more besides.
You’ll also find a page with useful tel numbers and internet sites locally.
If you’re a local business interested in advertising, you can enquire via our online form here, you can also download a version to print if you prefer. 20,000 cards are printed and distributed in domestic letterboxes in RH19 East Grinstead, RH18 Forest Row and RH7 Lingfield and Dormansland areas. Other cards will be left around the town and villages around for people to pick up if they wish to. The card will come out every 6 months.
Where we came from:
About Nicholas. “In the past I have put together many booklets and info regarding local information for the community – eg a book on east Grinstead which gradually grew from a 32 page booklet to one of 108 pages. I am keen to provide local information to the public which can help with understanding what there is locally and what is happening locally.
In the last 5 years or so I have also been organising the charity feast with help from the justice and peace group (who tell all in their churches about the meals) – meals where money is raised for a number of local charities. This has gradually grown to a point where people around the town know about the event (leaflets are left all around town and the surrounding villages) and loads of you come for a good night out! There is always a raffle at the meal and many businesses donate prizes towards the raffles.
I hope the card will gradually grow to become a point where people can access much local info.”
